Ben Fearing, Ph.D.

Managing Partner

Ben is a leadership and talent advisor who works with senior executives to strengthen organizational performance and leadership effectiveness. His work focuses on helping leaders scale impact, particularly during periods of growth, transformation, and increased uncertainty. Ben also has extensive experience supporting high-reliability and operationally complex organizations, where performance standards and risk management are critical. This background informs his approach to leadership development in environments where quality, accountability, and execution discipline matter.

 

Ben’s work centers on executive assessment, coaching, and leadership team effectiveness. He has supported senior leaders in strengthening succession pipelines, improving feedback and coaching capability, and aligning leadership standards to drive consistent performance. His clients value his pragmatic approach and ability to connect leadership behavior directly to critical outcomes.

 

His broad experience includes financial services, private equity, family offices, and capital-intensive industries. He supports publicly traded and privately held companies across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and infrastructure. A partial list of Ben’s clients include: Morningstar, Blackstone, Eurazeo, U.S. FinTech, Federal Home Loan Bank System, Marblegate Asset Management, Ameritas, Zell Family Office, Bedrock Detroit, Union Pacific, McDonald’s, Walgreens, Duke Energy, and CommonSpirit Health. 

 

Earlier in his career, Ben led the financial services practice at the Center for Research and Service, a not-for-profit consulting center affiliated with the Illinois Institute of Technology. In that role, he partnered with financial institutions to leverage employee engagement and organizational data to improve performance outcomes

 

Ben holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Psychology from Baylor University. He is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

 

He and his wife Kim are parents to four children. They have roots in Texas, Illinois, and Colorado, and they love spending time as a family on long hikes and bluebird ski days.
